Phillippa Hurrell has spent her career in Learning and Development roles and is a passionate advocate that Learning & Development is a route to business success.
After graduating from Manchester Business School with a BA Hons in Accounting and Finance, Phillippa started her career at KPMG, before moving on to work for Zurich, Aviva, Telefonica and Morrisons. After 4 years in industry Phillippa was promoted to Head of Leadership & Talent Development.
While working for Telefonica O2 UK as Head of Leadership and Talent Development, Phillippa was responsible for creating and rolling out a Leadership and Talent curriculum for 1,100 leaders. This lead to a first class service culture (O2 achieved number 1 service scores in the industry) and high engagement scores (O2 were number 1 in employee engagement). During her time at O2 Phillippa also implemented a new operating model to deliver transformational service. In 2013 Phillippa left Telefonica O2 UK and went to work for Wm Morrisons Supermarkets Plc as Head of Learning and Development, where Phillippa set up a world-class, award winning development Academy to support over a 100,000 colleagues.
